Hospital sector

The umbrella organisation for hospitals in Luxembourg is the Federation of Luxembourg Hospitals (Fédération des hôpitaux luxembourgeois - FHL, formerly the Entente des Hôpitaux Luxembourgeois).

Although hospitals negotiate their operating budgets individually with the National Health Fund (Caisse nationale de santé - CNS, formerly the UCM), the FHL represents their common interests on a number of committees, such as:

• the Norms Committee (Commission des normes);
• the Technical Investment Committee (Commission technique d'investissement);
• the Hospital Budgets Committee (Commission des budgets hospitaliers);
• the Evaluation Committee (Commission d'évaluation);
• the Statistics Committee (Commission des statistiques);
• the Standing Committee for the Hospital Sector (Commission permanente pour le secteur hospitalier - CPH);
  
• the Inter-Hospital Management Committee (Comité de gestion interhospitalière - CGI).
