Stakeholders

Within the health and social welfare sector, there are a number of stakeholders operating at different levels.

These include various ministries – like the Ministry of Health and Social Security and the Ministry of Family Affairs, Solidarity, Living together and Reception – and the different bodies that operate under their authority. There are also a number of judicial and mediation bodies that operate within the sector.

Another group of stakeholders comprises sector-specific service providers, including establishments that provide services within the hospital sector, and others that provide healthcare, assistance and long-term care services.

Among the corps of healthcare professionals, various bodies and associations also represent specific professions.

Within the health sector, there are also several patient associations. These include associations that serve the interests of all patients, and those with a specific focus on one or more diseases or medical conditions.
