Inter-Hospital Management Committee
Remit
The Inter-Hospital Management Committee (Comité de gestion hospitalière - CGI) is tasked with:
- supporting hospitals in putting together projects involving the setting up of skills networks, and approving their projects;
- determining the skills networks' organisational arrangements;
- proposing arrangements for effective collaboration between national agencies and hospitals;
- putting together projects involving the pooling of hospital resources;
- proposing arrangements for effective collaboration between doctors belonging to skills networks and those working for national agencies;
- defining the hospital service quality assurance system, coordinating the national policy on promoting hospital service quality, and providing feedback in an annual report.
Composition
The committee is composed of:
- The Director of Health (or their representative);
- The Government Commissioner for Hospitals (Commissaire du Gouvernement aux hôpitaux)
- four members appointed by hospital management;
- two members representing the medical boards;
- two representatives from the High Council for Certain Healthcare Professionals (Conseil supérieur de certaines professions de santé);
- a member representing the minister responsible for health matters;
- a member representing the minister responsible for social security matters;
- a member representing research institutions;
- a member representing the agency responsible for managing the health insurance system;
- a secretary.
