Call for applications for a position on one of the professional committees.

Election of members to the professional committees of the Higher Council for Certain Health Professions

In accordance with Article 19 of the amended Law of 26 March 1992 on the practice and enhancement of certain health professions, and with the provisions of the amended Grand-Ducal Regulation of 24 April 1993 relating to the Higher Council for Certain Health Professions, the Minister for Health and Social Security wishes to announce that elections to the professional committees provided for by the aforementioned amended Act of 26 March 1992 will take place in November 2026.

In accordance with the provisions of Articles 4, 7, 8, 11 and 17 of the amended Grand-Ducal Regulation of 24 April 1993, a

• call for nominations for a seat on one of the professional committees is hereby issued.

Any candidate standing for election is requested to submit their application by registered post to the Ministry of Health and Social Security, 1, rue Charles Darwin, L–1433 Luxembourg by 15 October 2026 at the latest, as evidenced by the postmark.

Extract from the amended Act of 26 March 1992:

Article 19 (2): “The members of the Council shall be appointed by the Minister for a term of five years on the recommendation, on the one hand, of the professional committees provided for in (4) below and, on the other hand, of the representative professional organisations in the health sector. There shall be one alternate member for each full member.”

(4): “The Council shall also comprise a professional committee for each of the professions covered by this Act. The members of these committees and their alternates shall be elected every five years by the members of the respective professions.”

Extract from the amended Grand-Ducal Regulation of 24 April 1993, Article 8:

“To be eligible, a candidate must be at least 21 years of age on the date of the elections and must have actually practised the profession in question on at least a part-time basis for 3 years during the 5 years immediately preceding the elections.

In order to demonstrate that they meet the above conditions, candidates must submit, in support of their application, a certificate duly issued by:

(1) the employer(s), where the candidate is an employee,

(2) the Union of Health Insurance Funds [*] certifying that the candidate has carried out one or more professional services for at least 750 days over the five years immediately preceding the elections, where the candidate is self-employed.

(3) the employer(s) and the Union of Health Insurance Funds [*], each in respect of their own area of responsibility, where the candidate has practised their profession alternately as a self-employed person and as an employee.

(4) the competent authority at their place of residence, specifying the dates of residence.

Where the candidate has been resident in the Grand Duchy for less than 3 years, they must also produce equivalent documents issued by the competent authority of their previous country of residence.

Where the candidate resides abroad, only equivalent documents issued by the competent authority of the State of residence need to be submitted.

(5) a certificate from the competent authority confirming that the candidate has not

• been convicted of any criminal offences,
• been deprived of the right to vote as a result of a conviction,
• or been placed under guardianship.

Evidence regarding the aforementioned conditions shall be provided by means of the attestations, certificates and other documents provided for by Luxembourg legislative, regulatory or administrative provisions. ”
