High Council for Certain Healthcare Professionals
The membership of the High Council for Certain Healthcare Professionals (Conseil supérieur de certaines professions de santé - CSCPS) comprises representatives from various healthcare professions.
Remit
The Council is tasked with:
- to advise the Minister on matters relating to the practice, training and regulation of the healthcare professions,
- to draw up a code of ethics for the healthcare professions.
Composition
- The members of the council are appointed by the Minister for a term of five years, on the recommendation of the professional committees and representative professional organisations in the health sector.
- The council also comprises a professional committee for each of the health professions. The members of these committees and their alternates are elected every five years by members of the respective professions.
