Withdrawal of marketing authorisation

Application to withdraw a marketing authorisation for a veterinary medicine in Luxembourg

If you are a marketing authorisation holder and would like to apply for the withdrawal of your authorisation for commercial reasons, regulatory changes, safety issues or other strategic considerations, please send a letter to luxvet@ms.etat.lu, specifying:

  1. The commercial name of the veterinary product concerned
  2. Its Luxembourg MAA number
  3. Reasons for the authorisation withdrawal
  4. Available therapeutic alternatives to replace the product concerned
  5. The UPD codes for the product concerned (Product ID, Permanent ID)
  6. The CESP application number
  7. If applicable, the RMS letter approving the withdrawal, or the approval letter from the reference country for medicines registered using the national procedure (NAP)

Tracking your application

Once the application has been submitted and processed, you will receive an email notification confirming that the MA concerned has been revoked in the national registers and in the UPD database.
