Vaccine-preventable diseases

Diseases that can be prevented by vaccination are called ‘vaccine-preventable diseases’. Knowing about these diseases helps to better understand the usefulness of vaccination.

All vaccinations carried out as part of universal vaccination are free of charge for the patient. Vaccinations for specific target groups are free of charge in certain specific cases.

Vaccinations required when travelling to or staying in an endemic region, in addition to those referred to in the previous paragraph, are at the patient’s own expense.
