School medical record

Medical findings are recorded in each pupil’s school medical record and are subject to the professional judgement of the healthcare professionals involved. They mainly enter the relevant data necessary for the pupil’s follow-up.

The school medical record is created during the first health check-up. It accompanies the pupil throughout their schooling and ensures continuity and consistency across the various school medical tests and examinations.

At the end of their schooling, the medical record, together with its supporting documents, is handed over, upon request, to the pupil if they are of legal age, or to the person with parental responsibility if they are a minor.

The school medical record is subject to medical confidentiality rules and is the responsibility of the medical, social and educational support team.
