Belgian-Luxembourg Commission

The Belgian-Luxembourg Commission for Nuclear Safety and Radiation Protection was set up by an agreement concluded on 14 May 2013 between the Belgian Minister of the Interior and the Luxembourg Minister for Health.

The Commission meets annually, alternating the venue between Luxembourg and Belgium. It enables the radiation protection authorities in the two countries to review the many existing cooperation initiatives, as well as those still to be set up between the two entities.

The aim is to improve nuclear safety and radiation protection even further.

Luxembourg is represented on the Commission by the Radiation Protection Division (DRP), while Belgium is represented by its Federal Agency of Nuclear Control.
