Reduction of radon levels

The second national action plan (2021-2028) lays down the actions to be taken by the Luxembourg government from 2021 to 2028 with regard to exposure to radon. The objective remains the same, namely reduction of the Luxembourg population's exposure, focusing on the following priorities:

  • prevention during the construction of new buildings,
  • reduction in housing where radon levels are very high,
  • identification and remediation of workplaces where levels exceed the national baseline.
