Dangerous product alerts

Safety Gate is a European Union rapid alert system covering all dangerous consumer products, other than foodstuffs, pharmaceutical products and medical devices.

It was set up to enable the rapid exchange of information, between Member States' national contact points and the European Commission, on measures taken to prevent or restrict the marketing or use of products that pose a serious risk to the health and safety of consumers.

Measures ordered by national authorities, as well as measures taken voluntarily by economic operators, are all covered by the Safety Gate system.
