UPD database and authorised veterinary medicines in Luxembourg

The Union Product Database (UPD) covering veterinary medicines offers a publicly accessible interface where veterinarians can consult the list of veterinary medicines available in Luxembourg and the European Union, as well as all information relating to these medicines.

The competent authorities and marketing authorisation holders are responsible for updating the data.

The available information includes, but is not limited to:

  • The name of the veterinary medicine
  • Active substances
  • The dose
  • The summary of product characteristics (SPC)
  • The product leaflet
  • Production sites
  • The marketing date

This secure platform centralises all veterinary medicinal products registered in Luxembourg and the European Union (EU), and serves as a single source of information for veterinarians, marketing authorisation holders and the competent authorities.

Marketing authorisation holders have access to a dedicated interface for submitting the following information to the UPD:

  • Sales volumes
  • Product availability status
  • Variations not requiring assessment
