Invitation to a control examination
In certain cases, you may be summoned to a medical examination by the Social Security Medical Examination Board (CMSS).
The CMSS is an administration that operates under the authority of the Minister of Health and Social Security. It carries out medical examinations:
- when required by law, regulations and statutes;
- or when it deems it necessary for the proper performance of its duties.
Role of the CMSS
The role of the CMSS is to assess the state of health of insured persons. Based on these examinations, it provides medical opinions to the following social security institutions:
- the National Health Fund (CNS);
- the National Pension Insurance Fund (CNAP);
- the Accident Insurance Association (AAA).
If you receive a summons from the CMSS, it is important that you attend the appointment on the date and at the time indicated.
