Four hospital centres

Central Region

Centre hospitalier de Luxembourg (CHL):

has an A&E, multi-purpose clinics and extensive technical facilities, including Kannerklinik for treating children, the Eich clinic and the Grande-Duchesse Charlotte Maternity Unit.

Hôpitaux Robert Schuman (HRS):

has extensive technical facilities and includes Kirchberg Hospital, for emergency treatment and multidisciplinary medical services; the Bohler Clinic – a maternity hospital and mother-and-child centre; the ZithaKlinik – a multidisciplinary hospital; and the Sainte Marie Clinic for geriatric medicine.

Southern Region

Centre Hospitalier Emile Mayrisch (CHEM):

has an A&E, intensive care and normal units, and extensive technical facilities. In the near future, the 3 units that make up the Centre Hospitalier Emile Mayrisch (Esch-sur-Alzette, Dudelange – geriatric rehabilitation service and outreach services – and Niederkorn – a multidisciplinary hospital) will be relocated and housed in a new building: the Südspidol.

Northern Region

Centre Hospitalier du Nord (CHdN):

has an A&E and extensive technical facilities; it is charged with caring mainly for citizens from the north of the country as inpatients, outpatients or walk-in patients. Fundamental outreach care is provided from both sites, in Ettelbruck and Wiltz.
