Information procedures if dose limits are exceeded
Exceeding dose limits (Art. 69)
As soon as 6/10 of the professional exposure dose limits are exceeded over a calendar year, the dosimetry service must immediately notify the Health Directorate's Radiation Protection Division (Division de la radioprotection) and the establishment, which must notify the worker(s) concerned and the radiation protection expert.
If the professional exposure dose limits are exceeded, or are suspected to have been exceeded by the dosimetry service, the latter must immediately notify the occupational physician responsible for medical monitoring of exposed workers, the Health Directorate's radiation protection division, the Health Directorate's Occupational Health Division (Division de la santé au travail), the Inspectorate of Labour and Mines (Inspection du travail et des mines), and the establishment, which must notify the worker(s) concerned and the radiation protection expert.
Exceeding the vigilance threshold
As soon as the Health Directorate's radiation protection division observes that the monthly vigilance threshold – as established by dosimetric monitoring – has been exceeded, the radiation protection division will notify the establishment, and remind the latter of the maximum annual dose.
