Health check-ups
Health check-ups are performed to assess pupils' overall health. Health check-ups are performed at key ages in children's and adolescents' development and schooling.
Parents are expected to attend the first health check-up in preschool education. The health check-up encompasses:
- clinical aspects;
- psychological and academic aspects;
- personalised advice in the field of health education.
The health check-up includes:
- routine testing, screening and measurements, such as height, weight, vision, hearing, vaccinations, and a urine test;
- children's medical histories, to gather information on pupils' health from their parents, persons with parental authority, or pupils themselves;
- a medical examination conducted by the doctor from the school medical and social support team;
- a social assessment, to collect information on pupils' social circumstances with a view to detecting potential issues.
