Vaccination: a victory for life.

To mark European Immunization Week, the Ministry of Health runs an annual awareness campaign to remind the public of how important vaccination is at all stages of life. The Ministry is committed to providing objective information to the public and to promoting vaccination in general.

For several years now, the subject of vaccination has dominated the headlines and there have been a number of controversial news stories. False information which is not scientifically proven circulates and spreads quickly on various media. Recent studies show that the public is increasingly wary of vaccines, which largely explains the gaps in vaccine take-up in our country.

Therefore, to mark European Immunization Week 2019, the Ministry of Health is relaunching its 'Vaccination: a victory for life' campaign, and is highlighting arguments against prejudices and false opinions that vaccines are dangerous.
