Awareness and information campaign

European Antibiotic Awareness Day takes place on 18 November. This campaign highlights the risk of antimicrobial resistance in bacteria and aims to promote prudent antibiotic use.

Prudent use of antibiotics can help stop resistant bacteria from developing and help keep antibiotics effective.

Working together to keep antibiotics effective today means that we will all be able to benefit from them when we really need them in the future!

Information materials

As in previous years, the Ministry of Health is joining forces with other European initiatives to mark this occasion.

The aim is to raise awareness of the problem of antibiotic resistance and promote the prudent use of antibiotics.
