Generic substitution policy
The launch of the policy to substitute branded medicines with generics is supported by an information and awareness campaign.
It aims to inform the public about:
- the implementation of the generic substitution system and reimbursements;
- the existence, quality and affordability of generic medicines, which are often misunderstood and sometimes wrongly distrusted.
Information materials
As part of this campaign, 3 visuals were created to highlight the difference in price between 2 equivalent products, as is the case for branded and generic medicines.
The campaign's communication materials include:
- A bus poster campaign for 4 weeks across Luxembourg;
- web banners on various Luxembourg websites;
- A Facebook campaign comprising informative posts on the 'Healthy & Friends' page;
- advertisements;
- A National Health Fund (Caisse nationale de santé - CNS) newsletter.
