Skin Cancer: Awareness Campaign Against Skin Cancer
Objective
The aim of the new campaign is to raise awareness, through a leaflet and a poster, of the benefits and dangers of the sun. It is essential to become aware of them and to prevent them.
The sun gives us many pleasures, but it can also be dangerous for our health.
- Prolonged exposure and frequent sunburns during childhood have an impact on the development of skin cancers many years later.
A few minutes of sun exposure per day are enough to stimulate our mood and improve our sense of well-being.
Sun as a friend: The sun contributes to joie de vivre; light has a beneficial effect on mood, we feel in better shape.
Sun as an enemy: Every sunburn leaves its mark, because our skin forgets neither redness nor burns caused by sun exposure.
Repeated sunburns before the age of 18 increase the risk of skin cancer.
Choose safety! Your skin has a memory!
You can enjoy the sun by following certain rules:
- Avoid the sun between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.
- Seek shade.
- Protect yourself with a wide-brimmed hat, sunglasses (UV protection), and a T-shirt.
- Apply repeatedly a water-resistant sunscreen with a protection factor > 25.
