Athletes Against AIDS

The Ministry of Health, in collaboration with the Red Cross AIDS Counseling Service, has developed an information and awareness campaign on the fight against AIDS.

Protective habits are declining

In recent years, a decrease in protective sexual habits has been observed in our country, as in neighboring countries, especially among young people.
It is therefore important to remind everyone of the need to continue protecting themselves and others, as well as to fight against the discrimination that HIV-positive individuals still face today

For a Vacation Without “Bad Memories” – Use a Condom

This campaign, under the slogan “Athletes Against AIDS,” takes place just before the start of the holiday season.

Although condom use is a relevant topic throughout the year, it is essential to remind everyone that going on vacation and letting off steam does not mean relaxing the “commitment” to use a condom.

The condom remains the only effective way to protect against AIDS, as well as to prevent other sexually transmitted infections or unwanted pregnancies.

The first phase of the campaign involves the widespread display of 16 visuals in 210 locations across Luxembourg City and the country from July 3 to July 9, 2007.

In parallel, A2-sized posters are distributed to general practitioners, gynecologists, and pharmacies.

These posters will also be available in:

  • medical-social centers,
  • family planning centers,
  • youth centers,
  • municipalities,
  • and other places frequented by young people.
