Under the amended law of 11 August 2006 on tobacco control, manufacturers or importers who wish to market tobacco products or electronic cigarette products in Luxembourg are required to declare to the Health Directorate the list of ingredients and their quantities, by brand and type.
In accordance with the provisions of Article 5 of this law, the Health Directorate shall make available to the public, for information purposes, details of the ingredients of the various tobacco products marketed, subject to commercial confidentiality, indicating the levels of harmful substances.
This information is taken from the declarations and notifications made by the manufacturers or importers of these products under the conditions laid down in Articles 3bis and 4octies of this law. For the purposes of publishing the information required by the regulations, the Health Directorate does not process or analyse this information and cannot therefore guarantee its content or accuracy.
