Take a stance: talk to your family and friends about organ donation!

While a large portion of the Luxembourg population declare themselves in favour of organ donation, only a minority actually carry an organ donor card.

There are two advantages to having your wish or refusal to be a donor recorded on the small organ donor card, known as the 'Passeport de vie' [Passport to Life]:

• it will make the work of medical teams and caregivers much easier;
• it will relieve your loved ones of a heavy emotional burden in the event of an unexpected death, in what is a difficult situation.

The 'Passport to Life': a free card

The ‘Passeport de vie’ organ donor card is free of charge and available from:

• pharmacies,
• doctors’ surgeries,
• local authority offices,
• the Guichet.lu portal,
  
• the Health Directorate, Curative Medicine Division
• at Luxtransplant

You can also order your ‘Passeport de vie’ online.

The 'Passport to Life' is not registered with an official body.

Your decision as recorded in the 'Passport to Life' is neither:

• registered with an official office; nor
• filed with an official body.
