Medication safety

The marketing of new medicinal products and the monitoring of medicinal products (pharmacovigilance) are meticulously organised at both national and European level.

The Health Directorate's Division of Pharmacy and Medicines (Division de la pharmacie et des médicaments de la direction de la santé) is the competent authority in Luxembourg for all matters relating to:

• pharmacy practice;
• pharmacy-related professions in the public and private sectors;
• medicinal and pharmaceutical products: manufacture, control, marketing, advertising, distribution, import and export.
