UPD / Authorised veterinary medicinal products

With the Union Product Database (UDP) of veterinary medicines and the list of medicinal products authorised for use in Luxembourg, citizens have the tools they need to ensure that their animals are provided with quality care, while complying with local regulations in force.

What is the UPD database?

The Union Product Database (UDP) is a continuously updated database containing information on all of the veterinary medicinal products that are authorised for use in the European Union.

It provides easy access to:

• Summaries of product characteristics;
•  Product leaflets;
• Marketing authorisation decisions for each medicinal product.

For prescription medicinal products, the following information is provided:

• Therapeutic indications;
• Contraindications;
• Side effects;
• Prescription and dispensation conditions.
