MedSafetyWeek 2026

The global #MedSafetyWeek campaign returns from 2 to 8 November 2026.

This year, the global #MedSafetyWeek campaign will take place from 2 to 8 November 2026. Initiated by the World Health Organization (WHO), the campaign aims to raise public awareness about safety and the proper use of medicines.

The theme of this new edition :

Adverse effects: don’t ignore them – report them

A simple message that is essential for patient safety.

Every report of adverse drug reactions contributes to a better understanding of the risks and to patient safety.

To make reporting easier, the process has been improved:

• 100% digital
• with automatic transmission to the pharmacovigilance department

Objective: to remove barriers to reporting and encourage the reporting of adverse events

• The process has been simplified
• Data is secure and traceable
• Better use of safety data
