Before heading to A&E, consider using a local medical centre!
An information campaign aimed at encouraging citizens to use their local medical centres is being launched by the Health Directorate. This campaign, under the banner 'Before heading to A&E, consider using a medical centre!', is seeking to alleviate some of the pressure on A&E departments by providing rapid responses in line with patients' needs.
Medical centres are an appropriate alternative for patients whose state of health does not require urgent treatment. They are specifically equipped and staffed by qualified healthcare professionals who can provide effective care in less serious cases.
More information about the communication campaign will appear on social networks. Information materials, downloadable below, will also be distributed via GP surgeries and pharmacies.
