The flu season is nearly here: remember to get your flu vaccine!

The Ministry of Health launched its new seasonal flu vaccination campaign in early October, as this is the ideal time to be vaccinated. If administered between mid-October and the end of November, the flu vaccine still provides the best protection against complications associated with the virus.

The information campaign aims to raise awareness among the general public, with a view to promoting seasonal flu vaccination before the start of epidemic season, which generally runs from the end of the year to springtime.

The posters and brochures are now available and are largely aimed at ensuring people over 65 years of age, pregnant women and health professionals are given the flu vaccine.
